What is Barcelona WiFi?
Barcelona WiFi is a free city service that allows you to connect to the Internet through WiFi access points, or hotspots, located in various plazas and municipalities.

• Barcelona WiFi Service Access does not equire any User registration.
• Connection times and speeds will be limited at certain locations.
• Users must have the automatically-appearing pop-ups enabled.
• The service restricts access to pages deemed ethically dubious as well videoconferencing.
• Barcelona WiFi is available at different times depending on the type of centre where the connection is made.

Types of browsing available
- Internet browsing [limited from 'ethically dubious content'].
- Access-speed and daily connection-time restrictions vary so don’t be surprised if you get knocked off line.
- Browsing of all public-authority websites and direct access to information.
- In some locations (parks, inner areas in blocks, markets, sports centres, etc.) browsing is limited to 60 minutes a day.
- The connection is called ‘Barcelona WiFi’.
- Accept the Terms and Conditions of Use of the Service (no User registration required).
- Connection times and speeds vary. expect a pop-up window with connection time information (allow pop-ups).
- Finish sessions by clicking on the disconnect button in the pop-up window.
- The service is limited to internet browsing and restricts ‘ethically dubious’ sites and videoconferencing.
- Connections may vary from place to place.
Text WiFi Post Code to 7010
The Barcelona WiFi SMS Service lets you check on your mobile which municipal locations have a Barcelona WiFi connection available inside a particular city post code
WHAT MESSAGE SHOULD I TEXT?
You only have to send a text to 7010 with the word “WiFi” followed by a space and the post code where you wish to find out about amenities with a Barcelona WiFi connection.
For example: WiFi 08016
The cost of the text message is €0.15 + VAT.
WHAT RESPONSE SHOULD I EXPECT?
If you send a text to 7010 asking for information about amenities within a certain post code area, you will receive a text in reply immediately afterwards containing the address (street, number) of every amenity, bearing in mind that it will be limited to the maximum size text permitted in text messages.
